Hello Everyone,

Another busy week with classes coupled with the school's Epiphany mass, the winter carnival plus the grade 6 bake sale.

In Math, the class spent last week  practising how to measure time to the nearest five minutes and how to determine what the temperature would be given scenarios. Ask your child, in this photo, is the temperature likely to be  25°C, -3°C or 100°C?

Different strategies we used to understand how to tell time.

In Language, the focus was on media literacy. The students already have many connections with this form of literacy. Th grade 3 expectation is for students to understand the purpose of the message  and who the message is for in order to think more deeply when making wise decisions.

In Science, we continue to learn about forces and movement. Your child brought home information about an upcoming Science project that is due back to school on February 3rd. If you have not received it, check your child's agenda or ask your child where they placed this information as it serves as a template to follow. We went over the instructions together as a class and your child was shown examples of what the bristol board presentation should look like.
These are some examples.

A FEW THINGS TO REMEMBER.......
*Pizza lunch this Tuesday for those who ordered it.
*All library books are due by this Tuesday.
*Science project due Friday February 3rd
